Kelly Stevenson is a ceramic artist and co-founder of Teslow Art Center in Livingston, Montana. She received her BFA from Montana State University, a Post Baccalaureate from the University of Montana, and her MFA, as the recipient of the Earnest G. Welch Fellowship, from Georgia State University. After completing her Master’s Degree, Kelly became an Assistant Professor of Fine Art and ran the ceramics program at Berry College, in Rome, Georgia. She has been an Artist-in Residence at the Clay Studio of Missoula, in Missoula, MT, The Medalta International Artist Residency in Medicine Hat, Canada, The Archie Bray Foundation, in Helena Mt, and Red Lodge Clay Center, in Red Lodge Montana. Kelly has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally, having works included in private and public collections. Her works have been published in books and magazines including “500 Figures in Clay",'' Ceramics Monthly, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and Davis Publications educational books, as an illustration of emotive sculpture. In 2021, Kelly and her mother, ceramic artist Marie Stevenson, opened Teslow Art Center in Livingston, MT. Kelly teaches sculpture, hand-building and wheel classes. Together they continue to grow a thriving community of ceramic art enthusiasts. When she is not instructing ceramics courses at TAC, she is at her home studio, pushing the boundaries of her ceramic work.
